Finding Media
The TGL Media Hub stores a variety of media files for you to access, preview and download. Searching through the content is made easy, as TGL has added enhanced and structured metadata to imagery and video content to make it more discoverable.
Searching & Filtering using Keywords
You will see a search bar in various places around the platform. This is placed in the center of the homepage and in the top right corner of your screen in other areas. You may search for content using keywords, such as a player's name, a location, event or date.
Once you have entered a search term, you will see a list of results matching your search. Here, you may click on a result or further narrow down your search by adding another keyword or by adding a metadata filter.
Browsing for Media
TGL Media Hub provides a few different journeys to discover content on the Portal. These include shortcuts at the top of the screen, and event logos. Click on either to discover subsets of content by clicking rather than searching by keyword.
Previewing Media
TGL Media Hub allows for the online preview of media files, this means that you can view a low-resolution, web-friendly version of content in the hub before deciding to download files.
Record Page & Information
Each piece of media held in the Media Hub is attached to a Record entry, which features the additional information attached to the media file. It is this information (metadata) that is searched through when browsing the platform. You may see additional information alongside an image or video, in the form of annotations. Clicking on an annotation will either:
- - jump you to a moment in a video, or
- - highlight a linked area in an image
Downloading Media
See our section about Downloading Full Media and Clipping from Videos to understand how to download full videos & images or extracts from videos.
Downloading Full Media

When downloading, you may offered the choice to download using Imagen AFD. This additional app (for Windows and Mac OS) allows you to benefit from accelerated file transfers and options around multi-download of clips and multiple files attached to a single record. Read our instructions on Setting up and using AFD for more information.
You may be offered a variety of quality options when you download from the TGL Media Hub. These are:
- Original Video ; this qualifies the video file in full quality as it was submitted to the platform.
- HLS Video ; this is the lightweight, web friendly version you can preview on the webpage.
- Original Image ; this qualifies the full resolution Image at original quality (higher quality than the previews you have online)
